hiya! saturday was loverly, as it turns out. i LOVE my hair so much. nnnghh. it's pretty much exactly how i wanted it to be. that night on mtv2 was pretty much the most exciting hour and a half of television that i've ever witnessed. AFI on the rock countdown, followed by the madden special, which was TBS, AAR and MORE AFI. i was spazzing sososo much.

after that alicia picked me up and we went to her grandparents house along with tsa, melissa and whitney. we played a bunch of DDR, which i sucked at, and then kinda goofed around the rest of the night. i wrote a couple of songs for THE SECRET SERVICE and stared at jade and got laughed at and was probably annoying. hahaha. this was while everyone else was watching final destination 3 and i ended up actually watching the rest of that. it was gooood because it was kind of lame and kind of scary at the same time, and way gross... idk, i liked it? hahaha. but we were all scared the rest of the night. we definitely didn't fall asleep until like 6 and i went home at 11 and slept till 2.

then i had to go babysit. ahahaha. it's the crazy 2 year old and 4 year old. they are so effing cute though. except when they fight and i can't stop it. but they love me and their parents love me and i got paid, so hey. hehe.

today i rannnn. i ran an entire mile at a slow pace but i'm going to keep speeding up, and hey, at least i did the mile!! i love my treadmill. i know it's easier on the treadmill but if i get good enough on that it'll be easy outside, you know? *drinks vitamin water* i feel really great. i'm going to stick with this.

hi hi hi. so lots has happened and i've been too lazy to write.

thursday was busy. i went to get my permit. i hadn't read the main chapter of the book, lmfao, but i passed anyway. barely! so anyway we were waiting for sooo long and finally they call me over and give me some bullshit about how they can't accept my birth certificate because of my two first names, and because it doesn't match my social security card. WHAT THE FUCK. mom and i were so pissed, especially since we had to call the birth certificate place to try and get the thing to look more "official". so basically the birth certificate place (in illinois, mind you) tells us that it's bullshit that they won't accept the certificate. so now i just have to get my name on my social security card changed, and i'm home free. and i don't have to take the test again!

that night i went to whitney's. abby, alicia, tsa and melissa were there too. we played various games and watched videos and stuff and i really missed all of them so it was a good time. i'm a bit embarassed about my afi obsession, though... okay, not really. haha. oh, right, we did more shopping the other night and i bought a giant poster of them for my bedroom. it's so embarassing changing in there now.

tonight we did even MORE shopping because my mom needs new clothes. i didn't want to shop so i wandered the mall by myself until i found JC!!! hehe. so i walked around with him for awhile. he bought a hoodie in hot topic and then he bought me starbucks. yessss. i seriously need to hang out with him again. oh and i met his mom, hehehe. i miss testosterone, even though he hasn't got much of it. :P

TOMORROW IS GOING TO BE SO EXCITING. i'm getting my hair cut in the morning, then chilling all day, then AFI hosts the MTV2 rock countdown, then i'm going to alicia's to sleep over. YES.

i *know* i did something monday night but i can't remember!! ha!! how awful is that? it was something semi-exciting, too... oh, nevermind, got it, i ran. not too exciting. haha. but i've made up my mind: i AM going to start running and doing yoga. i need it. so it's going to be running monday, wednesday and friday, dance classes tuesday and thursday, and yoga on the weekends. i really, really want to stick with it. and i hope i can. no, i know i can. so anyway, i nearly died running. hahaha. didn't do nearly as much as i wanted to. but it's okay, because now i have something to work toward, and it'll just feel all that much better when i get it.

what's today, wednesday? okay, then, yesterday i went to rachel's in the afternoon. we took abby for a walk and then screwed around with her camera on her computer. this happened, along with many other funny pictures. LMAO i can't stop laughing at that.

and last night i did more shopping at the outlets. i got a lot of stuff i really wanted from gap & ae and i'm only $20 in debt from next month's clothing allowance!! good stuff!! i feel kind of guilty about spending ALL my birthday money on clothes, but it's really good stuff. i now have NICE tops to wear with my skirts. hahaha. and some sweaters.

i tried to start my essay for history this morning but all i want to do is listen to AFI on shuffle, and word won't work with itunes open, so guess which won out? gosh, i am so addicted... my "jade thing" is like my "quinn thing", only instead of blushing i tend to fall off of things. "things" being whatever i happen to be sitting on.

some days all i do is watch the sky

I'M BACK!!! i've actually been back since saturday, but this is the first time i've actually felt like sitting down and typing everything out in paragraph form. hahaha. i've already updated my lj+gj with pictures and a few comments, but that's pretty much it. so here comes everything i can remember!

we drove most of the way on friday, and stayed overnight in ludlow, mass. i ate fettucine alfredo for dinner and got SO sick to my stomach overnight. my dad told me later that he thought i had a parasite and we'd have to go to the emergency room, lmao. what an optimist. anyway, on the car ride i listened to an abundance of tbs, jimmy eat world, cursive, and rilo kiley. it was very, very nice.

we got to the cape early saturday morning and went out to breakfast. i had one of my favorite things: a cream cheese omelet. YUM, seriously. haha. then i think we went to the beach for most of the day and went to duck pond at the end of the day. it's officially my favorite place in the entire world. the water is so clear and it's so peaceful and it's basically heaven on earth.

we stayed in the same house as last year, and i got the room i really liked this year. there was a scary picture of a lady with eyes that followed you, but i got used to her. and the henna stain was still in the shower. ha! and the outdoor shower was lovely as ever. i don't think i used an indoor shower once. and we had two. lol. i also watched a lot of the gameshow network.

so we spent every day with leah's family. most days we went to duck pond in the morning, packed lunch, went to the beach for the whole day, and then my family went out to dinner at some of our favorite places. oh! we also discovered an AMAZING place to have breakfast and lunch, frank's. it's right on the w[h]arf and there are locals there and the atmosphere is great and they have the best strawberry and cream croissants i have ever tasted. mmmm. *drools*

monday we went to the sailing beach. leah and i sailed all by ourselves and didn't even tip or anything! we nearly did once, after we turned around to come back, but we managed not to. i was working the sail and i was proud. haha.

i also did a lot of reading on the beach. i was pretty much addicted to fast food nation, hahaha, and i finished it. i'm actually excited to do my book report on it...? (it's the american nonfiction book i picked for history) and i finished choke and started on the road, which i got for my birthday. i'm very excited.

tuesday was my parents' anniversary as well as shopping in p-town. leah and i got lots of awesome back-to-school clothes (and i bought necklaces) and we each got a really gorgeous summer dress. that's the thing i'm most excited about. spiritus (pizza) and malassadas (portuguese fried dough) were as amazing as ever. my favorite foods in the entire world. after shopping my parents and leah and i went to the beach and went swimming as the sun was setting. it was so freaking cool.

wednesday was another usual beach day during which i boogie boarded and attempted to body surf and leah and i got checked out by some HOT boys in colorful shorts (they were probably just trying to figure out her hair, but hey, we still felt special). and i think we also took a walk where we saw 6 great blue herons at once. wow. and on thursday i turned sixteen! WAHOO! my favorite presents were a harmonica (lmao), a pocket french dictionary, on the road, and a passport holder. oh, and of course my camera, but i don't count that cause i got it before my actual birthday. let's see... that day the only out-of-the-ordinary things we did were bridge jump (the tide was SO high! we were up to our hips in the water on the road.) and go to a drive-in movie (talladega nights, which was really stupid but the experience was fun).

the last day we spent our entire day at the beach. it was high tide and the waves were gigantic. my dad was standing down by the water and i saw him get knocked on his ass like 3 times and laughed SO hard. lmao. so then leah, isaac, sean (isaac's friend) and i went to join him. first we got knocked over by the waves where they were crashing (my knees are still all scratched up), which was hysterical, and then we went out and floated. at one point like 6 big waves in a row came and we couldn't stay above water for more than a few seconds. my dad goes, "okay! ocean: 10, humans: nothing!" lmao. ahh, i think that was my favorite day at the beach.

OH MY GOD, I FORGOT SOMETHING. friday night we went to the beach at night. leah and i ran down to the water and i see this big orange thing on the horizon, and it turned out to be the moon! so we WATCHED THE MOON RISE. and there were so many stars, and we saw A SHOOTING STAR and a satellite. it was the single coolest thing i've ever done in my entire life and the best i've felt in a LONG time.

we drove home all on one day, saturday. i listened to my entire collection of something corporate and jack's mannequin. I LOVE ANDREW MCMAHON SO MUCH. HE IS MY HERO. by the way, watch the sky and holiday from real were my theme songs from the trip. "for serious." let's see, i think i also listened to the academy is and cursive (the ugly organ is so fucking good.) and i listened to some of half-blood prince on cd. i really want to finish it because i got totally absorbed in the world of harry potter. hahaha.

so i'm really glad to be home, basically! i came home to a b-day present from rachel: a t-shirt from the shakespeare festival with a quote from the comedy of errors: "there's many a man hath more hair than wit." :D i went over there yesterday to do hair wraps for rachel and emily and watch 'the shadow'. highlights include me attempting to imitate the beginning of 'the ugly organist' that shouts "THE UGLY ORGAN!!!" and choking and not being able to talk for like 5 minutes, playing little kids' computer games, and laughing at tim curry because he looked normal. hahaha.

oh, by the way, i'm getting my hair cut to above shoulder length on saturday! i'm so excited. i really need to do something with it and i think it's going to look really cute. hehe.

i think that's everything... if i remember anything else i'll update about it tomorrow. yeps.

i really have nothing to say but i'm leaving tomorrow so i figured i'd better update. so!

uhhh... i've been kind of productive lately. i'm knitting and reading a lot. i decided to read 'fast food nation' for school, did i mention that? it's really slow reading but i'm actually learning a lot. and on the side i'm reading 'choke'. i'm only a few chapters in and i love it already. gotta love that palahniuk.

project runway was crazy last night. leah and isaac both came over and we played rat-a-tat cat beforehand. haha that's the funniest game ever. annnnddd i'm going to miss keith, but whatever, he deserved it. cheating bastard. ha.

i finally started packing this afternoon. i've got all my clothes together; i just need to put them in my bag. the excitement hasn't really set in yet. and i still have a lot of packing to do. hey... here comes the excitement. i get to spend a long time listening to music in the car, and then i get to be at my favorite place in the whole entire world. score!

i waited all day to watch AFI on TRL and... jade is pretty and davey had funny pants on, and that was the extent of the excitement. hahaha.

dan called, finally. guess his phone was dead or something. lmao he was so out of it and confused on the phone, and add that to his normal sense of humor and it was one crazy conversation. but at least i got to talk to him. haha, i knew he wouldn't totally ignore me.

so yeah... uhhh... i can't say whether i'll take the opportunity to get on the computer one day, but i'll definitely update when i get back!
