 September 19, 2003, 5:00 p.m. i falter as the music stops ♪: damn, i love the friday five this week! 1. Who is your favorite singer/musician? Why? at the moment, i can't choose between two. first and foremost i have to say the all-american rejects. the first time i saw their video (swing, swing) on mtv2 (back in february) i was like "damn, i'm gonna be obsessed with this band, i just know it." and then, "damn, that guitarist is hot!" i went out and bought the cd 2 weeks later. ever since then i've been obsessed. but anyway, i really love their sound. i don't just like them because tyson is 'so fine'. i hate people like that. then there's taking back sunday. adam's voice is *awesome*. i love the way they harmonize. but more importantly, i love the lyrics. back when i was iffy with adam (hehe that sounds funny) that album was the soundtrack to my life. i still love it. it doesn't give me sick feelings or anything. 2. What one singer/musician can you not stand? Why? there are SO many, but the biggest ones are 50 cent, avril, good charlotte, and hilary duff. hilary and avril are posers. 50 (or "half-dollar man") is waaaay overrated. what's so special about him? and good charlotte...well, it's the poser fans i mind. i have to give it up to them, though, because they're a big act right now and they're rock. 3. If your favorite singer wasn't in the music business, do you think you would still like him/her as a person? definately. tyson, nick and adam are all so sweet. and just cool people in general. 4. Have you been to any concerts? If yes, who put on the best show? umm...the only concerts i've been to are the backstreet boys and american idol. can i get back to you on that on october 12? :D 5. What are your thoughts on downloading free music online vs. purchasing albums? Do you feel the RIAA is right in its pursuit to stop people from dowloading free music? absolutely not. i've discovered so much new music just from downloading. a lot of really good bands can't afford to get signed to a major label, and in this stupid town you can't find their cd's anywhere. where else are you supposed to hear their music? how else will they get 'out there'? ugh...i could go on and on. anyway today was okay. i hate preps. i really do. i'm going skating tonight. xoxo. |
